Immediate Dentures in Kingman

Immediate Dentures in Kingman

Are ready for wear the same day any remaining teeth are removed so you don't have to spend the healing period toothless. The drawback is that you'll need more adjustments, since your gums and bones shrink during this period. The denture fabrication process will take weeks and several visits to complete. Again this is done before remaining teeth are extracted.

During the first visit, Dr. Haynes will take an impression. This gives her an exact mold to use when creating your immediate denture.

The next appointment will be the wax-rims. This will consist of making sure that your bite is correct with measurements using wax blocks, and choosing a tooth shade.

The following appointment will be the wax try-in. This step is very important because you give your approval of fit, comfort, and look. Once you have given the approval the immediate denture will be sent back to our lab and processed to completion. One week later your denture will be ready to deliver.

The final appointment will be the delivery, after removing the necessary teeth the denture is placed immediately. Dr. Haynes will do a post operation check the next day. A week later your denture will usually need some adjustments to get the fit just right. Sore spots may develop so you are encouraged to come in to get adjustments as needed.

*A RELINE will be necessary in future weeks since your gums and bones shrink during this period.

(This procedure will have several visits depending on the materials and approval needed. Each appointment will be about 30min)
